Mazz and Neil’s experiences from their visit
Park Place Centre is run by five Franciscan Sisters, originally from India. We met Sister Evelyn and Sister Sarita on our visit in June and they were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about Tai Chi.
The venue is in a quiet location, providing a serene and calm environment with spacious indoor and outdoor facilities for our training. There are several rooms where you can relax as well as a meditation room and peaceful outside short forest walk for reflection, plus various longer circular walks from the centre.
The local historic village of Wickham is only a 10–12-minute walk from the venue and has a good selection of local shops, cafes and restaurants centred around one of England’s oldest market squares.
The predominately vegetarian meals are cooked by the nuns, who use locally sourced ingredients as much as possible. The dining room is bright and airy. You are welcome to bring your own food and/or drink and this can be stored or refrigerated in one of the five mini-kitchens near your bedrooms.
We loved our visit there, and came away excited to have found a wonderful venue with plenty of space for the 2025 International training. You can find more information about the venue at http://www.parkplacecentre.uk (It is worth looking at this site on a laptop or computer as it provides a more detailed version than your phone).

Accommodation before and after the Training
As we will be staying in a beautiful part of the South you might want to stay a bit longer or arrive earlier. You can check out Airbnb and Booking.com in the area of Wickham or Fareham. Give Heike a shout if you have queries regarding location.
As we will not be able to stay at Park Place on the Wednesday night after the training we are looking into accommodation nearby, please indicate in your registration if you plan to stay. We will also be booking a restaurant nearby for the evening meal, again, please indicate your interest at registration.
